The KU990 has a 5.1 megapixel, with Image Stabilizer, auto focus camera with Schneider Kreuznach lens. A 120fps video camera. Equipped with 3G HSDPA, 170MB internal memory, a massive 240 x 400 touch-screen and a music player. The phone sports a stylus pen attached to the phone and an embedded program to help users add letters or marks to the photo images on the screen, and edit them. The camera has a twisting collar around the lens, which doubles as a shuttle dial to help the user guide through high-speed video footage, navigate through the menu, as well as zoom in or out of the phone’s web browser.

The camera on the phone features manual focus as well as auto focus and one-touch Image Stabilizer to reduce shakes. It also supports ISO800 High-Sensitivity mode for night scenery shots and Smart Light for bright and clear images in the dark. According to LG, the Viewty uses ultra high-speed video recording at 120 frames /sec and is capable of capturing a bursting water balloon and showing it in a slow motion.
